Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. with case could fit my grestch electromatic acoustic or electric?

I tried my ’62 Guild Starfire, and even after removing the supplemental head and heel cushioning, this particular case is neither wide or long enough for my hollow body, which I believe is comparable with your Electromatic. With padding in place as intended, it fits my Tele perfectly, and seems suited for standard solid body electrics.Definitelythe best gig bag I’ve had, so you might just want to ask the folks at gaorcases.com what would work.

2. how much does this gator case weigh?

Hello, The weight of this case is approx. 4.5lbs. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@gatorcases.com. Thanks!

3. Will bass gig bag fit Gibson firebird

Hello, We have tested a Firebird in the Bass bag, we are sure it will not fit, properly, in the electric bag though. Because we cannot test every guitar on the market with every case we offer, we do always encourage our customers to measure their instruments and compare the dimensions to those of the case. This helps assure a fit.See below for GT-BASS-BLK dimensions.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Will this fit the fender vintage modified jaguar special short scale?

I don’t think it willheadstock will not reach up to the upper cut out “section” for the standard 34″ scale headstock.in other words, the short scale headstock would lay right where the C- shaped neck cut out for the 34″ is..hope this makes sense.

2. Works for a Flying V?

I don’t think it would be wide enough

3. what’s the compartment size?

Interior DimensionsBody Length: 19.00 “Body Height: 3.38 “Lower Bout Width: 12.75 “Middle Bout Width: 12.75 “Upper Bout Width: 12.75 “Overall Length: 39.50 ”

4. This case is $20 more than the wood one, but will it protect it as well?

Reasonbly well. I bought it for its very light yet strong
and cushy design. ANY hard case would probably protect
ANY unattended (flight baggage, etc) better. For my use and
wear its perfect, all my guitars don’t travel or fly at all, very far and are never unattended.

What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Carl C. Ferre-lang says: “The best soft guitar case for the money. Nice and stiff. pocket quite large. Easily fits guitars with backwards-inclined headstocks. I seriously don’t use any of my hard cases anymore.. Update: I now own two- one for a standard telecaster and one for a standard jazz bass.. and I’m seriously considering buying a third for a Cordoba concert uke.. Both fit their respective instruments excellently, the straps are useful and I use them far more than I thought I would- though they cannot be stowed as in some other cases- but the best aspect of these cases is their stiff build

Chop Stix says: “I bought this gig bag to replace my old sagging Rockbag that was falling apart. The Gator is lighter weight and much more firm. The weight of two guitars can put a strain, not only on your back but on the gigi bag as well. The gator sits up a little higher on my back lifting the center of gravity and keeping the bag from sagging and pulling down. This one is perfect for two Fender guitars. I wouldn’t recommend this particular model for angled Gibson type headstocks, there is another Gator model better suited for that. For the price, this
is a great deal!.

Larry Marvin Wall says: “So far this case has been great for my son’s 3/4 dreadnaught. I originally tried to buy a hard case but they just don’t make one that is wide enough to fit the mini dreadnaught body but short enough to keep the guitar from sliding around inside. So I tried this and it has worked out fine. In fact if there is a problem it might be that the case is too big for a regular 3/4 guitar. Anyway, there are pockets big enough to hold sheet music and it seems to be well made. There’s a good amount of padding
inside to protect the guitar. He’s been carrying it back and forth to school on the bus and the guitar is fine with no tears or fraying of the case. I would definitely recommend if you want a soft bag or a hard case won’t fit your guitar..

Roger Lodge says: “Gigged with it for the first time last night. I like that it’s compact, rugged and has a good side handle. It has some good padding on the bottom and around the tuners. The pocket is spacious, and has a no-nonsense zipper (unlike some more expensive bags). The only thing I don’t like is the adjustable straps to wear it like a backpack are very long and dangle low when carrying. When just using the handle those straps drag on the ground and can be a hazard, so I just cut mine shorter. It’s a good bag though and I will
be using it regularly..

Barkon355 says: “I own a few guitars and do some builds from time to time so proper storage is important. More than a few brands of soft cases have been tried in the past. This is my favorite case brand regardless of whether the guitar is an electric, acoustic, or even a bass. It’s the perfect size for my Epiphone LP Special II. I did have to remove the bottom strap lock on the guitar to make sure that didn’t become an unnecessary wear point. Besides that one very small issue, it seems to be the best bang for the buck when talking
soft or hard shell cases!.

VINE VOICE says: “I needed a carry and storage case for my Epiphone electric guitar. This is a large, thick, soft case with a lot of extra pockets that fit my guitar well and has room for a lot of accessories. It includes backpack straps for easy carry, and it is very economically priced. It is not a hard case, so it doesn’t offer the protection that a hard case does, but then no soft case does. This offers a lot more protection than most other soft cases out there.

UnderwaterShopper says: “I love this case for my Outdoor ukulele. I wanted something light, dust proof, and with room for a few accessories to keep close by and encourage practice. I use hard cases for my wood instruments but that seemed overkill for one made of composite material and able to endure extreme environments. The zippers, fabric, handle, straps, handle, and workmanship are excellent. I may cover the embroidered logo with a fun patch. This is a nice step up from a regular gig bag.

Ash Danger says: “I had to return several bags because my guitar was just too long. Apparently Epiphone’s headstock makes the guitar taller than other guitars. Anyway I settled on either this or the Ibanez Powerpad. The guitar fit in both but the Ibanez case was just too broad in the beam and really didn’t hug the guitar. The Gator 4G does. Well padded, snug, and appears to be well made. I’m happy with this purchase. It’s a good bag at a great price.

Andrew Warren says: “Fits my Epiphone Pro-1 Spanish Classic nice and tight. The top of the case has to be pulled up and over the headstock, giving the case super cozy fit. The guitar stays in tune after a night in the case (not sure if that’s a factor or not). The padding is good and stiff, however I wouldn’t want to go any less than the 20mm (0.79 inches) this case has. I feel the guitar wouldn’t be in one piece after a fall from any great height at the right angle, however I’m not very rough with my guitars even when they’re
in there cases.Definitely would buy the 4G series again, worth every penny..

What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Northwest Dad says: “Bought this for my Oscar Schmidt Concert Electric Acoustic Guitar OG10CESM model. Fits like a glove on the width and depth. A little wiggle room on the length, but not anything to cause concern. I absolutely love a few features: It has metal feet on all exterior places you’d set the case down: 4 on the wide end, 3 on the flat back, and 2 on the bottom opposite the handle. I also love that it has lots of exterior latches, one is opposite the handle on the side that’s hinged, which makes it more secure and not something you see
on other cases. These little extras help me feel I have a good item. The cushioning is good and suffices. Handle is basic plastic, but rugged and comfortable enough to tote. Great for the price – a very good value..

JSkor says: “This is a great guitar case! I purchased this case b/c my daughter started taking a guitar class after school & I wanted her guitar to be better protected than it was in the lightweight fabric backpack case her guitar came with. This case totally lives up to expectations- it’s sturdy and nicely made. It has four latches to keep it securely closed & one latch has a locking feature. My daughter’s Ibanez junior fits perfectly inside. I would definitely recommend this case.

My daughter’s Ibanez junior fits perfectly inside. I would definitely recommend this case..

Shelly M. Felton says: “I have a Yamaha FG Junior JR2 3/4 size guitar. It came with a crappy “gig bag,” from which it was difficult to extricate the guitar, and did nothing to protect the guitar, except maybe keep the dust off. THIS CASE IS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE! It’s incredibly sturdy, padded with silky plush fabric inside. The guitar body fits perfectly, and for my particular guitar there is about 5-6 inches of space above the headstock. But the body is held in place beautifully so it doesn’t matter that there’s space above the head. I could probably stand on this case without crushing
it (not gonna try tho.) It has four very sturdy clips to hold the lid down, and one of these clips has a wee lock, which probably would only deter a toddler, but it looks nice. The only drawback is that it is a bit heavy, but unless you’re carrying it for miles that probably won’t be a problem. The carrying handle is very solidly attached. I get the feeling this case will last for years, and look new forever. If you want a case that gives you the shabby appearance of a nomadic vagabond musician, buy a different case. But if you want to protect your guitar on your rambles, this is the one..

Margaret I. says: “I can’t say enough good about this case. I bought this for my 50 year old Yamaha 12-string. The fit is not quite like a skintight glove – there might be 1/2 inch on either side of the upper bout, but I’m delighted – I had the guitar in its original hard case all these years, and this fits better and has much better padding than that original hard case. For comparison: My children gave me a Fender 6-string (without a case) for my birthday, and I bought another case, for $1 less, for the Fender. THERE IS NO COMPARISON in
the quality of the cases. I was really picky about the measurements, and I bought a Fender case for this Fender 6-string, and the fit was really good (the 6-string in this GATOR case has extra headroom. So for fit, I made the right choice for each guitar. But, if you want strength in build and latches, the GATOR case is the case to buy. I didn’t want identical cases (I wanted to be able to tell the guitars apart by just looking at the case, and I was very focused about fit) but I’m sorry I didn’t just buy two of these and add a decal or two to the one holding the 6-string, as a way to distinguish between guitars. This is a FANTASTIC case, ESPECIALLY since circumstances were such that these two cases arrived a week apart, so comparison was inevitable! BTW: I bought the other for two reasons, fit and because I liked that there was a latch at the lowest end of the neck, near the handle. I didn’t realize there would NOT be the standard two latches along the lower bout part of the case. So while both cases use 4 latches, on this GATOR case, there are two latches along the side, and two along the bottom (the lower bout), and that arrangement seems more secure. The latch near the handle appealed to me as a point of strength, but the GATOR case offers greater strength in every aspect of its construction. I LOVE this case..

Kindle CustomerTop Contributor: Guitars says: “Nicely made, very secure, very plush on the inside. And a bit heavy, but it keeps the guitar safe from my klutzy self. I originally ordered this case for my Luna Safari Muse Nylon guitar; it’s a bit roomy for the Luna but a little bit of padding on the bout end of the case makes the Safari more secure. I bought a Cordoba Cadete 3/4 guitar shortly after ordering the case, and the Cadete fits like the case was made for it – no movement at all in the case.

Dave P. says: “This is a very high quality case, and I’m quite happy. It fits my Washburn 12-string perfectly. It feels sturdy and tough, but at the cost of having a fair bit of gravity to it. Its easily twice the weight of my guitar, but I don’t travel much with my instruments, so for me its about having a safe and relatively air-tight case to keep the humidity levels correct and protect it from dust and dings and keep it playable. The handle placement is weird though, if it was a few inches lower it would make carrying the guitar horizontally easier,
which is more comfortable. Where it is, its just forward of the center of gravity and hangs in your hand at a 45 deg angle, so its not super comfortable to carry for longer than a few minutes. But as far as value and protective abilities, I’ve very pleased. I’ve been mucking about with gig bags and flimsy chipboard cases for years, this is a nice upgrade..

Dragon1016 says: “Based on another persons review and photo, I took a chance that my odd shaped Ibanez Talman guitar would fit the Martin 000-Style case. It fits very snug. The picture doesn’t really show how perfectly snug the guitar fits and the thickness of the case is also perfect for this guitar. There is a decent space at the top and a little space at the bottom, but again, the guitar fits perfectly snug, with no wiggle, or movement. If you are looking for a case that fits a Ibanez Talman guitar. this is a good choice. The case is decent quality plywood
case, with great internal padding. The thin stamped metal latches, don’t seem very rugged, compared to other cases I own and the lock is a joke, but all in all, for the price, this is a decent case..

I have two classical guitars: a Cordoba C5 and an Alvarez AC65HCE (hybrid). They both fit perfectly; firmly, without putting any strain whatsoever on the instruments. I have no doubt they will be well protected by this case. I wish the Accessory storage was a little larger, but it is going to hold everything I need.

I recommend this case to anyone who wants a well-built Hardcase for a reasonable price..

Baumli says: “It may not be as good as the case you got with your Gibson or Guild, but it is strong, it can take considerable abuse without even scuffing, the latches are adequate if not the best, and the plush lining seems just right to make it fit about any standard guitar as long as the guitar is not a jumbo. And the price sure is friendly!

slamming96 says: “Better than I expected! Fits the Gretsch Jim Dandy Parlor guitar like a glove. This is the case you are looking for if you own one of these guitars! We all know gig bags just don’t cut it. I bought this guitar to travel with and again this is the case you’re looking for. Very well made and very light weight for a wooden case which makes lugging it through an airport much easier. Has extra padding at the base. Has feet both on the sides and on the bottom to protect the case from scuffs. The storage compartment has plenty
of space for straps, picks, electric tuners, etc..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. is it waterproof?

I would say it’s water resistant but not waterproof.

2. Does it fit for fender fa 115

Yes

3. Would this case fit a 12 string guitar?

Not sure but I do know I have a teleacoustic render it measures 38 inches long and there a few inches gap I like the bag a lot just wish the pocket was a bit bigger

4. Why don’t you include the string winder or the pics or the pic holder or the strap lock? I only got the case.

They didn’t include anything but the case for me either, even though the description clearly says it comes with all those items. I talked to Amazon customer service – they claimed they would look into it and gave me a refund since I was missing items. Just leave the seller a bad review to let other people know.
