Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. What is the difference in the sizes M and Medium?

there is no difference. They are synonymous, one & the same.

2. Has anyone been able to compare this to the Mighty Lite? I have that jacket and while I love it, it always feels a bit short. Is this one longer?

The jacket in this pic is accurate with where it falls on the body- I feel it is long enough but I am only 5’1″- I do not know the mighty lite. I can say I absolutely live this jacket and have bought a total of 3- one for me and my daughters- the most aggravating thing is the lining of the pockets get stuck in the zipper

3. Will it keep you warm on a winter day below 20F for several hours? Skiing, walking, etc.

With brisk activity, yes! My daughter also wore hers to an early spring soccer game and was comfortable the whole game.

4. how warm is this jacket? I need something suitable for freezing temps….below zero some days

It’s pretty warm for the weight, but it depends on how easily you get cold.I don’t get cold easily, but for actual temps below zero (assuming wind chill factor that would feel colder), I think this jacket would only be good for shorter time periods. For extended periods in below freezing temps, I’d still choose a down coat. Also, this jacket doesn’t cover much of the bottom half.it hits at mid hip for me.

What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Beantown says: “THE GOOD: I really like this jacket. I wear it in temps up to -10 degrees Celsius, but it’s lightweight enough that you could use it in the spring as well. Situations I’ve worn it in: New England winter, very windy Scandinavia in the spring, running in summer (don’t ask), on the prow of a boat approaching a glacier at speed (I was cold in this last situation. Windchill wins!) THE BAD: The faux fur lining on the inside of the collar is comfy, but god-awfully ugly. It makes it impossible to use this jacket as part of a fashionable non-sporty

I value being warm over looking cool, so I use this anyway, but I really hope this changes. They could at least dye it black.

THE MEH: No hood. Baggier than it is on the model – I ordered a couple of sizes, and if you want a more fitted look be prepared to be very uncomfortable when moving! That said, it’s certainly not ugly, and can be quite photogenic, especially with the chevron detailing..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. pit vents

There are no pit vents; however, between keeping loose sleeves and unzipped pockets I catch a good breeze throughout. Don’t need pit vents. This jacket doesn’t get “sweaty”.

2. If I wanted to wear a fleece jacket underneath would it be worth going a size up? I’m 5’2 and about 130 lbs.

I am the same height and weight and bought a medium. Typically I wear a small but I am glad I went a size up because I can wear more layers when it’s cold. The material and shape of the jacket doesn’t have a lot of give so if you’re wanting to wear a fleece underneath I recommend buying one a size bigger.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Stephanie Rich says: “Excellent rain jacket! Used this for the Marine Corp Marathon prior to the race to help me stay dry and warm prior to running. I look forward to using it in the mountains and on any rainy day.

  • Zippered hand pockets. Binding at cuffs Bonded baffle construction
  • 100% Polyester Taffeta/100% Polyester/650% Fill Power/Goose Down Insulation
Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Would this coat be warm enough for winter in Wisconsin?

No it wouldn’t be its warm but it’s not a heavy coat!

2. Will this jacket keep you warm in NYC winter weather?

I live near NYC. It’s a thin down coat so it’s perfect if it’s not freezing and windy. Great for fall! It’s very flattering so it is nice for shopping or short walks. Layers help. I love the jacket but if you are looking for a heavy down coat, this is not the one for our cold NYC weather.

3. what is the length of the jacket from centre down, descriptions said it is 25 inches but the item is a long jacket so is that a typo?

The length of this apparel is approximately 36 inches, measured from neck to hem. I would describe the item as a short coat, thin and lightweight but warm.

4. Is the black shiny?

No
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

aaustad says: “Loving this coat. I ordered four different ones before deciding this would be the new basic black packable coat for the next few years. The pic on the site doesn’t do it justice. I think the pic makes the model look like a black version of the Michelin man. The coat does in fact not make u look like a tower of bike tires. It’s very flattering. I am 5’2”, 105 lbs and I ordered an xs. If first perfect. When you r this petite it can be really hard to find coats that fit. The sleeves are a little long
but the style of the cuff makes that not matter. It’s actually nice because when u stretch your arms out, the sleeves still protect your wrists, unlike other coats whose sleeves would ride up. I love the bottom zip-up. I use that all the time. If you choose not to, it could be hard to walk around or get in and out of the car. The material seems pretty touch so far. I was building a fort outside with my kids and poked the bejebes our if myself with tons of sticks but none of them punctured the coat! My last down was ripped and I had to patch it. Hoping this one lasts. Also about the warmth, I live in MN and have already used it in 15-30 degree weather and it’s been great. Obviously when it is colder out I wear a sweatshirt underneath it, but it has kept me quite warm, I was surprised! But happy about that. I may not need to buy a heavier coat for the winter! Just a note, the fit is slim, if you don’t want a fitted coat, this probably wouldn’t work so well..
