Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Does this case support an optical drive?

People like myself that use an actual “workstation” to make money need external drive bays its that simple. Lian Li markets this case as being able serve as a “workstation case”. Any case which touts 4 hot swap 3.5″ drive bays (a decidedly workstation like capability) as a major feature clearly hasn’t been designed for just for “gamers.” Therefore, the question regarding the lack of any external drive bays was both reasonable and legitimate. Unfortunately, several of the answers given were not. One poster got it half right: it ain’t 1987, it is really 1984..

2. Does this come with any fans?

Neither the AIR nor the 011DX include ANY fans.
I got the air for my son’s build and the 011 DX XL
for my extreme build. No fans with either.

3. Can you put a 360mm radiator on the top?

Yes you can. I have a 360mm radiator with three rgb fans in it on the top of my case and it fits no problem.

4. Would this case support a cooling fan instead of a water cooling system?

Most definitely. Supports up to 9x120mm fans or 6x140mm. Depends on how you arrange it. There’s plenty of room!!
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

burger says: “This is my second build using the Lian Li PC 011 Dynamic. The first was the non Razer edition which is $30 less. This case is an excellent case BUT it’s not for everyone. First of all, this case is designed to show off a PC builder’s masterpiece. Therefore if you’re just assembling for the heck of it, then go with something with less glass panels. Your cable management skills and techniques will have to be ON POINT!! This case is unforgiving for builders with mediocre cable skill set. Every nook and cranny will be exposed and therefore careful planning and
routing will have to be considered down to the last inch. Secondly, if you’re not watercooling, pls don’t spend the extra money on this thing and get a smaller Phanteks P400S or a Corsair case instead. The 011 Dynamic is optimized for two 360 radiators in both the upper and side portions of the enclosure. Unless you have a micro ATX mobo, the bottom intake is not ideal for a radiator. The bottom intakes are however excellent for fresh air intake. Take note: The side radiator mounting only has enough clearance for a radiator thickness of up to 45mm. (50mm total space). Anything thicker than 45mm will have fitment issues. For the top, you can safely install up to 60mm thick rads, provided you’re still able to route your 8pin EPS top mobo cable. Furthermore, the building experience is very pleasant since the top, sides and front panels of the case can be removed and leave the you with an open space for assembly. You have tons of room to move around. Surprisingly though, PSU and fan cable management at the back of the case is quite challenging. I recommend stripping the hard drive cage empty and use it as a parking lot to jam in all your excess cables. My only gripe with this case is it’s weight and mobility. Once assembled, its very challenging to carry this coz you’ll end up anchoring both your hands at the bottom of the case to support it. Carrying this thing around fully loaded should be a two man job to avoid back injury. It’s that heavy! In conclusion… This is an excellent, quality case from Lian Li. Very well engineered inside out. Best case out there today to display your gear and your building skills. As a PC enthusiast with lots of experiences in PC hardware, the Lian Li PC 011 Dynamic Razer edition is by far the best and most satisfying enclosure I’ve put my money in. Definitely worth it!.

What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Amazon Customer says: “This is my first ever review on amazon and I’ve been a prime member for YEARS, but I had to review this case. This case is the upgraded version from the H500 from my understanding. I purchased the H510 (White) and it is simply amazing. The “i” version provides RGB technology but you may already have enough RGB lighting that you don’t need to spend the extra money. The H510 has supreme cable management over other cases and a tempered glass side panel to show off your sleek hardware. As for temperatures, my Ryzen 7 2700x stays at around 36-40 Degrees
Celsius at 0% load , AMD XFX 580 at around 46-50 Degree Celsius at 0% load (AMD runs hotter). Some might say that the airflow is questionable due to the fact that the front is covered by steel but air is taken from side of case. I have not had any problems thus far with temperatures even at 100% load. The case comes with 2 additional chassis fans and room for two fans in the front or a 280 mm CPU water cooler such as kraken 62. The case also comes with additional standoffs, screws and zip ties. I would recommend using a fully modular PSU to benefit from the cable management this case has to offer. Overall 5/5 and this is my first NZXT product. Goodbye Thermaltake..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. For the view 71 rgb; can you fit three 140mm fans in the front? i know it says two, but there appears to be enough space. maybe with sum modification

I purchased the View 71 RGB with three 140mm fans included.I mounted all three of the 140mm fans in the front.HOWEVER,the top of the three 140s does not fit perfectly in the viewing window so it will not draw in air in a perfect steam. Additionally they did not provide screw holes in the location at the very top of the case for the top two screws of the third 140mm.To get around this I simply went out into my garage grabbed two washers that would slip over the standard fan mounting screw but not the wedged head, then starting the two lower screws as normal then starting from the rear the two “washered” at the top I pressed up on the fan where the washers grab the top edge of the opening pinching the top lip between the washer and the fan.Tightened the rest of the fan screws down and Done.I have posted my pics in a review but I have not seen them show up yet.

2. Can you make the fans look like they do in the advertised picture? The hub it comes with just switches between colors.

You have the older fans, but the newer fans with hub are software configurable.

3. Possible to mount a 1070ti horizontally?

If you mean vertically, then yes, you can mount it vertically with an adapter. All graphics cards mount horizontally by default.

4. Does the view 71 rgb have a fan splitter

It come with a RGB fan controller for those 140mm RGB fans.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Mr._danman says: “Great case to build in. I put a custom water cooling loop in because in a case this big it compliments and fills it perfectly. The build quality is near perfect with some small undesirables such as you have to be careful not to cross thread the case screws. Another con to others would be the weight. Its got 4 5mm thick glass panels which adds a good amount of weight (but also this isnt the kind of case you should be moving around or traveling with every other day too). Other then that its a beautiful case that ill be
enjoying for a long time.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Does anyone know where to find these motherboard screws?

Amazon has plenty of cheap screw sets for PC’s

2. Is it supposed to have motherboard screws? Because mine didn’t

Mine did not either. Also, documentation was extremely lacking on how to use the other cabling that was provided with the case.

3. Just got the thermaltake view 37 argb and was wondering if there is any way to control the two front fans and rear fan speed?

I see this is an older post, so my answer may be a little late – but figured it wouldn’t hurt to share: Per the documentation, it says the three preinstalled 120mm 5V ARGB front fans can be controlled via the motherboard synchronization software or the RGB switch on the top of the I/O port.

4. How noisy is the fan?

Actually fairly quiet
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Robert Partridge says: “Needed to add some extra storage to my wife’s PC and her OEM case wasn’t setup to handle it. What’s more, the OEM case had a single exhaust fan and no option for adding an intake fan or anything. (I’m looking at you ASUS). So I went looking for a replacement – wanted something that looked nice, would be easy to build in, and not too expensive. The Thermaltake Versa H17 definitely fit the bill. This is my first Thermaltake case. After my experience with the H17, I expect it won’t be my last. (I’m giving serious consideration to moving my
home server to a V21 cube chassis.)

I’ll go into detail about my experience with building in the case.

First I’ll mention, if you’re re-using old parts or if you’re on a tight budget and you’ve got / are getting a wired power supply instead of modular, the case is ideal. The H17 doesn’t use traditional drive cages of any kind to mount drives – no doubt a cost saving measure – and instead uses a system rubber washers + screws where you can mount a 3.5″ hard drive to the floor of the case under the PSU cover and second 3.5″ hard drive under the top of the PSU cover. With this mounting system instead of drive cages, this leaves TONS of space to neatly tuck away your unused power supply cables.

You mount 2.5″ drives in the same basic fashion as the 3.5″ drives, except the drives can mount on either side of the case’s motherboard tray. I chose to mount drives to the back side of the tray to make cable management easier.

The motherboard tray has a very large cutout to make access to the CPU backplate a breeze, should you ever need to. The side panels go on and off without any issues at all – unlike many other cases I’ve used over the years. Behind the motherboard tray there is PLENTY of room for cable management – especially when you include the space under the power supply cover. There are plenty of zip-tie points to help keep your wires tidy as well. If this case is missing anything it would be rubber grommets and velcro straps, however, including these would only end up increasing the price of the case.

Let’s talk for a minute about fans and cooling.

With having a mostly solid front panel, there is going to be some restriction on the amount of air coming into the chassis. However, because the ventilation holes are on the front of the panel (instead of on the sides of the front panel like some other cases) the incoming air doesn’t need to make a directional bend and lose pressure. The front of the case is listed as supporting up to 3 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm front fans along with 1 x 120mm or 140mm top fan (featuring a magnetic dust filter) and 1 x 120mm rear exhaust fan – a 3 pin basic black Thermaltake fan is included here. Only including the one fan is another cost saving measure on Thermaltake’s part.

When I purchased the case, I ordered 2 x 120mm Cougar Vortex PWM fans to use with it in addition to a 120mm Cryorig fan that I already own. While I don’t think most people will need to add three fans to this case, I do highly recommend you get at least 1 decent fan to include as a front intake. My original plan was to include all 3 fans in the front of the case and leave the top fan location vacant. I changed my mind on this during the build for 2 reasons.

1 – The wires for the buttons, LEDs, and ports on the top of the case are attached to the front panel. When you install the fans too high up in the case, it becomes difficult to route these wires into the case.

2 – After I noted the position of the top fan location is in a more “forward” position relative to the CPU, I decided to put the 120mm Cryorig fan there as an intake fan. If the position were more toward the back, I’d have instead configured it as an exhaust fan. If I’d have made this fan an exhaust where it’s located, I’d literally be stealing cool air that’s coming into the chassis and exhausting it away from the CPU before it has a chance to make use of it. This is not withstanding that positive air pressure is best for managing dust. If this computer had a tower style CPU cooler (such as a Cryorig H7 or CoolerMaster 212 EVO) instead of a stock downdraft style cooler, I would not have added the top fan at all as this would just cause turbulence.

If I were going to ding the score of this case for any reasons at all, it would be these points about the fan mountings. However, I don’t feel it’s appropriate to deduct from the score of this case at all. Here’s why.

As this case is a budget case, I don’t expect many people who purchase it to plan on using 360mm AIO coolers – which could be difficult due to the wire issue that I mentioned – and in all honesty, I think the cooling configuration I’ve got in place right now is likely more optimal than my original plan for 3 fans in the front of the case. Running the 3 fans in the front would only have blown extra air under the power supply cover. Having the top fan more forward winds up being a plus because running an intake fan here alleviates any problems this case would have with pulling in sufficient air to keep things inside cool.

All-in-all, if you’re looking for an attractive case (especially if you don’t want a windowed side panel) that is high on build quality but low on price, I would highly recommend you consider the Thermaltake Versa H17..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. How would you mount 2x cl480 64mm rads, twin d5 pumps with asus max formula, with lc chipset, will it fit or do i need tower900

You would have to use the detachable fan mounts. And all those components would fit.

2. Does this support video cards as long as the asus rog strix gtx1070?

yes

3. So where to you install the dvd drive in this case?

There’s no 5.25 slot reserved for DVD drive in this case. External DVD drive is an option.

4. What size psu

Any standard atx power supply will work. Note that the bottom of the case is removable to install the PSU.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Sage W. says: “I got the 20VT, micro atx model. I chose it because it seems the most easily stackable model, the versatile top choices, and the price was right… And it’s one of the most attractive cars in its size class that won’t break the bank. I loved the idea of this case. It’s beautiful and smartly designed. But, I really wish it came as an ITX size or SFF. I was hoping that since it’s micro atx, it’d be smaller than a tower, but the squat, fat shape breaks it for me. Instead of being long and thin like a full tower,
it’s short and squat. About the same space taken up, but in a different way. The case is, without a doubt, huge in person in a way you can’t really perceive in your head when it crunches the size numbers. It’s like your single aunt fey’s pug. It’s cute until you realize how massively over fed it is, lol. Unfortunately I’ll be sending it back, but it really is a beautiful case if you have the space. The tempered glass survived shipping with hardly any protection and it really looks just like the picture.

Ah, one caveat. If you don’t like open cases, this one may not be right for you. The top as received has a 1/2″ gap on 3 sides that could pull in large dust particles if your fans aren’t just right..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Do the fans work with Asus aura sync?

I got mine to work with Aura Sync. There was an RGB header on my MB that matched a cable for the fans. Then you hold down the RGB button on top of the case to switch control to the header.

2. Is there any way to keep the fan color white without them flashing?

There are a ton of color profiles you can scroll through with the included remote, solid white is definitely one of them.

3. The fan control board has com1 and com2 connectors. is it possible to connect the control board to the mother board to control speed of all the fans?

I tried with bad results, but I could have fried the controller before then

4. Can it fit a 240mm rad on the top of the case?

I was able to fit a 240 on top. I think it will come down to the size of your VRM and RAM heat sinks
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

sama hamouda says: “There is a lot of rgb. I got it for 100 dollars. 2 hard drive spots which is good. The 6 case fans suck in a lot of air and the fan noise is very minimal to the point to where you only realize the difference of the sound when turning the pc off. All its fans are placed well so they all suck air unlike some cases where some fan are placed with no opening, leaving the fans useless. The case’s original 250 is honestly good for the price, but the 100 was awesome for me when I was looking
to build my pc. I would definitely recommend this to someone who’s looking to build a new pc.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Does this have hdmi 2.0 for 4k

That is BOGUS or if you prefer B.S. “It has two display ports, which is better than HDMI” . My friend, no it is NOT.HDMI is a port capable of transmitting High Definition and SOUND. This is important because if you wanted to hook up the computer to your TV you could do so through your HDMI.One cord and done type of this.but with a “DP” which I think is what they are trying to do to people instead of a display port butthats for another discussion. Display Port is a non- answer. It could be VGA (that’d be my bet) or possibly DVI which was a short lived technology which is a pain in the DP.Butt hey Im just a person living in a world of liars cheats snitches and weirdos. My advice. Go elsewhere. I mea read the add. I was coming to ask a question and then i saw this answer and thought “WOW” and I dont mean to be a hater but I just dont think its right to rip people off and sell them something that is going to highly disappoint them.Clearly people are trying to find a good deal. they might not have a lot of money and so they look for what they can.Thats what im doing myself. But just because the person does not know the specifics of every little dang port should NOT give anyone the right to LIE.That is a LOSER move.If the seller doesnt know then be honest. Say that you just take old PCs and put the pieces together not knowing or caring if this will meet your buyers needs. That is wrong and you may or may not know thatnow you do.SO NO this PC WILL NOT STREAM 4K to your TV through one of its two “DPs'” adapter or know adapter. Now, if they told you the type of motherboard they had in it and the available slots,if it has an onboard tuner or what codecs the video card was capableof processing (4k is still somewhat rare. found in mostly gaming PCs or anything with an NVIDIA graphic card) or at least a dedicated graphics card..This doesnt orwho knows? My question was How much RAM? One spot says 8GB another spot says 16GB. What OS one spot says Windows10, another Windows 7.so What the heck very misleading..Hey maybe we should just send our hard earned money and allow a mystery PC to show up that is a SHMorGUSBORg or whatever thry were able to make “fall off the truck? But we should get discounts for that.Or you could print reliable accurate information and save me the time and you the embarrassment. This is Amazon dude.Go sell on whatever the India or Chinese version of of eBays. because this is whack as legless jumping JAcK

2. How much ram can i add to this pc (max)? is it 240 pin?

32 GB Yes 240 Pin 2 Banks of 2

3. Does this have Bluetooth?)

Easy peazeysimply buy REDGO USB BT V4.0 Wireless Mini Adapter Dongle for PC Windows ($6.25 here on zon) and voila, you have BT.

4. Can i add a firewire card?

1 PCI-E slot available.

The item I ordered was from Blair Technology Group. It is a Dell Optiplex 7010 in a desktop enclosure, not a small form factor machine – but that’s OK for my purposes. It came with 16 GB of RAM, a 2 TB hard drive, and an Intel i5 – 3470 quad core CPU. Windows 10 was pre-installed on the hard drive. A USB connected keyboard and mouse were included in the shipment, they will gather dust in the closet.

After opening the box I opened the unit to verify components, then zipped everything back up and plugged in an old 1280 x 1024 HP monitor via the VGA port. The machine came up on Win 10 quickly without any issues at all. After completing the personalization steps I checked various hardware components, in particular audio I/O. Everything worked. I shutdown the machine and then turned it back on, hit F12 to enter UEFI/BIOS mode and found the machine was set to ‘Legacy’ (BIOS mode) and non-secure boot. This configuration will work for most users – especially those that will bring up Win 10 for personal use and have no intention of doing any other major customization.

I installed a GeForce GTX 710 card in the half height card slots (there are four in the desktop unlike the two in the SFF 7010). Connected both monitors, set the system to use UEFI and configured the boot devices to see an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS iso image on a USB drive. Installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on a spare 300 GB drive I had (pulling the 2 TB drive out of the machine – since it uses an MBR to boot it is kinda lost in the UEFI environment, it will be reused eventually).

This thing runs cleanly on Ubuntu 16.04 with a handful of USB hard drives connected and the video card installed. The memory is the biggest bonus since I run a photo editing tool written in Javascript (big memory hog). All in all I’m pleased. Easy to use right out of the box – easy to customize..
