Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Whats the difference between 2400802 and 24322? its confusing.. this one’s 110mph & has (390 cfm) but much less mph ( vs. 185mph / 340cfm).

Hello Mike,The difference is that one is an axial blower, model 2400802.This design allows a huge amount of air to be pulled into and pushed out of the unit in a very short period of time. Whilst it has a comparatively low air speed (110MPH), this unit is designed to function only as a blower. When blowing leaves air speed is unimportant as 30mph will move a leaf as easily as 300mph. The important figure is CFM (cubic feet/minute) as the greater volume of air that can be moved the easier it will be to move large amounts of leaves. The 40v blower model 24322 is a blower/vac. Blower/vacs can be used as both blowers and vacuum/mulchers depending on which attachments are connected. The impeller uses centrifugal force to force the air through a tight space creating a large pressure change. This results in a superior air speed (in this case 185mph). Whilst these units are disadvantaged when compared to axial blowers in terms of CFM they have the advantage of providing the vacuum option. The greater air speed allows a greater suction force to be applied to leaves that are being vacuumed. This results in an extremely effective secondary function as vac/mulcher.I hope this has answered your question and help with determining which unit will better suit your needs.

2. Can the blower be purchased separately ?

Hello Rick,
At this current time the blower only comes with the battery and charger.

3. Is this product available for purchase without the battery and charger?

We currently do not sell the blower tool only.

4. I want to give this as a Christmas present. Does it come in a box without a picture or description of the blower?

It came in a brown corrugated box that is used for shipping. Inside is the Greenworks box with the blower, battery and charger. As a gift, after you check the item(if you choose), repack in the shipping box and wrap. As an aside, it is a pretty good unit.

This review is for the JET Blower with battery and charger.I bought this package on Amazon in November of 2017 in a flash deal for about half of what it is selling for now,so I feel blessed to have gotten it for about 65 bucks.
When I first received it,I installed the battery and it worked but I was disappointed at the lack of power. What I didn’t realize is that the battery didn’t have much juice initially so after a good charging the result was quite different,in a good way.
This bad little boy rocks. It emits a high pitched whine(kind of like a jet turbine) and sounds weak but man can it throw out some wind.I can do both me and my neighbors front walks and driveways, which is a pretty big deal due to all the leaves that are constantly falling from the many trees nearby.I’m guesstimating that I’ve been getting around 25 minutes use from a full charge.
It is lightweight and has some nice features like a comfortable grip and a switch that lets you run it without having to press the trigger all of the time.Kind of a cruise control.
But what I REALLY like about it is the control of the airflow. After a few uses I learned that the trigger is very sensitive and that by smoothly moving my finger I can control the airspeed in a very precise manner. This is a really sweet feature when using around plants, shrubbery and places where there are alot of objects, like my back porch.I’ve never been able to do this with my other blowers and I like this feature very much. After a little practice I can blow just a leaf or two,or some small object without disturbing everything around it.Nice going Greenworks!
The battery has 4 round lights that show how much juice is remaining in it.Recharge time is reasonable,I haven’t timed it but it usually takes about a half hour or so to fully recharge it after completely depleting it.While it’s charging(and at all times) you can push the button on the battery to see how much the battery is charged.I’ve gotten busy and left the battery in the charger for an hour or so a few times and from what I’ve read I shouldn’t do that so I’m going to try and monitor the charging process more closely in the future.
I’ve had this blower for some months now and I am super happy with it.I do have my corded Toro(another great blower) for big jobs but this little Greenworks blower is perfect for times when I don’t want to haul the big boy out,and really,it does just about as well as the corded Toro and can even blow wet leaves if they aren’t too thickly stacked.I would buy this blower again in a heartbeat and plan to do so when this one gives out, which I hope is far into the future.I’ll post any updates if needed, but as of right now I’m very pleased with the quality, value and performance of this model.

I was NOT compensated in any way for this review.Beware of compensated reviews and unverified purchase reviews..

What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Earnest says: “After about a week and a half of researching electric yard tools I decided to give the Greenworks line a try. Started with this bundle because of cost and immediate need. Due to the constant rain we have the last several weeks yard was overrun with weeds and debris on my sidewalks and drive way. Spent an hour Saturday weedeating and blowing with no issues at all. Battery lasted the entire time switching between the weed eater and the blower. I was so impressed that I decided to purchase the 8” pole saw. Once again used it for about 1/2 hour
of work, switched battery out and spent another 15 minutes weed eating. Just received my 4th item in this line (extended reach hedge trimmer) hurried up and used it for about 5 minutes just to test it out. It worked great as well. I have ordered a second battery but for my 1 acre yard. The one battery seems to do the trick, just want to add the additional battery so I can get a little help to get the job completed quicker. For easy lawn maintenance this line will do the trick..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Mine takes 2 seconds to start blowing from pulling the trigger, is this normal?

I like the blower as I live in AZ and most it not all of the stuff I have to blow is dry anyway which makes it easy with this blower and the operation time is a lot longer than the 18volt batteries that my Black and Decker has plus a lot more power. The only downside that I can see is that it isn’t cheap but then not everything isn’t cheap and besides this is an 80 volt battery which isn’t cheap either.

2. Is the Kobalt 80v Jet Blower the same as the Greenworks one, they have the exact same look and stats

I have Kobalt 80V tools including mower, trimmer, chain saw, and hedge trimmer and really enjoy them.
The Greenworks battery and charger are keyed differently (slots on side of battery and rails on charger are at a different level than the Kobalt). This is true for the rails on the tools as well. So I could either modify the battery case or the tool and the charger and void the warranty. (The Kobalt battery I have has a longer warranty than the tool.)
That being said, I had a 2.0Ah Kobalt battery fail to charge after three months and 21 charges (I put a tally mark on the battery after each charge.)
After 4 or 5 calls and 12 days of trying to get through the 5 year “Kobalt” battery warranty claim process I finally received a GREENWORKS battery. (It does not fit in the Kobalt charger or tools). But instead of going back through the warranty claim process I removed the cases of the failed battery and the new battery and swapped the inner cell/electronics assemblies. Works like a champ on the Kobalt charger and tools without any modifications. The big plus out of this was that the replacement battery is rated at 2.5 Ah which gives a little more run time. (The charger does not really care about the battery capacity; the charger just keeps going until the 20 cells in the battery reach 4.0 Volts each.)

3. is there a shoulder harness to help carry blower when in use?

No, there is no shoulder strap, the unit is light, less than 9lbs with the 2Ah battery installed.

4. What is the difference between cfm and mph ? which is more important?

Well, obviously cfm is cubic feet per minute and mph is miles per hour. They are both a gauge of air flow, one volume and the other speed. I am not sure if one is actually more important then the other but leaf blowers often use the mph as their testament to power. As a new owner of the Greenworks GBL80300 80V, I am impressed with both the quality of the product and the power of the air flow (cfm or mph) when blowing my yard debris. I am yet to actually run out of battery when using it.

7. Greenworks 80V Pro Jet Leaf Blower, Battery and Charger Not Included,

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. how does the 80v back model compare to the 80v handheld version?

Hello Jeffrey,
The backpack blower is a bit more powerful, and easier to carry as the weight is placed on the back and shoulder. If you would like to go into further detail please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 and we will be happy to answer any other questions related to this blower.

2. Can someone tell me if the weight listed (14.64 lbs) includes the weight of the battery?

Hello there,

The weight of this unit without a battery is 8.4 lbs and with the battery (2.5Ah) it would be approximately 12 lbs.

3. Should I buy this one or the 125 mph version?

The bigger model is a considerable upgrade over the smaller one. Both work great but the 580 is more powerful. You’ll really like it.

4. Is the 80 volt replacing the 60 volt? lowes have an awesome rebate right now on the 60 volt however it’s pretty hard to find reviews on the 60

The 60 is awesome. I have it and the Kobalt 80V, which is like this one. The 60 comes with a 5Ah battery, which holds much more energy. The only thing I wish it had was a fast charger. But at $250 with a free 2nd battery, it’s a no-brainer.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Does this blower also vacuum leaves?

No, it is just a blower. The battery will last 45-60 minutes before needing a charge.

2. Are all Greenworks 80V batteries interchangeable?

Hello Steve,
The GreenWorks Pro 80v batteries are in interchangeable with the GreenWorks Pro 80v units. With the exception of our current Greenworks Pro 80v snow thrower and chainsaw, which are being worked to have the compatibility.

3. Noise? How loud is it?? Is it is very very noisy. My wife won’t like that.

It does make some noise but not nearly as much as the noisy blowers used by “yard crews.”If you need to be completely sure of the noise level, before purchasing from Amazon for a better price, I recommend going to a store such as Home Depot or Lowe’s and ask for a demonstration. This assumes they have a “floor model” and could demonstrate.Of course, noise is a relative thing—what some people experience as “very loud” may not be bothersome to others.Hope this helps.

4. Is battery life really 70 minutes?

Hello there,
While the run-time of a battery would vary depending on the speed of the blower, this 2Ah battery is able to provide up to 70 minutes of run-time.

TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE says: “This is my first battery operated blower, which I avoided for years because of reviews saying they were under-powered and/or had super short run times. I’m here to tell you that this has neither of the problems, at least for my uses. This blower has been nothing short of superb so far. I bought my first blower about 17 years ago when I bought my house here in Tucson. This is my first battery operated blower, which I avoided for years because of reviews saying they were under-powered and/or had super short run times. I’m here to tell you that this has neither of the problems, at least for my uses. This blower has been nothing short of superb so far.

I bought my first blower about 17 years ago when I bought my house here in Tucson. I have a rock yard with mesquite trees and other bushes, and the rocks/driveway/sidewalk get absolutely covered in pollen (happening right now) and small leaves at times in the year. A lawn vac does a better job of cleaning and I went that route for years, but I get totally covered in dirt when using a vac, and they are harder to lug around. A blower does a decent job while leaving me relatively clean.

I hate gas blowers (get to listen to the pros use them at neighbors homes and hate the loud noise and smell) and have been using corded blowers, mostly from Black and Decker. However, it takes me a good five minutes or more just to get the cords out and plugged in to get ready to start, and then the cords sometimes get in the way and usually make me backtrack around bushes.

Enter this superb blower. Wow. Just wow. It’s significantly quieter than my corded blowers, and compared to gas – forget about it. This thing is quieter as I’m holding it than the gas blower the landscaper uses when he’s half a block away. In fact, I was so excited when it first showed up on a Sunday afternoon that I immediately unpacked it (which took all of about a minute because there’s only two pieces) and started using it with the 80V battery that I already had, and it didn’t occur to me until later in the day that I hadn’t put in my earplugs. It’s not _silent_, for sure, but it’s a heck of lot quieter than I’m used to.

Performance is plenty good for me. It has three main settings (low, medium, high), and then you can further tailor the air flow by how much you depress the trigger. I’m lazy and just pull the trigger all of the way back. On low, it makes quick work of pollen and tree litter on concrete such as my driveway and sidewalk – soooo much faster and easier than sweeping like I’ve done for years, and quiet enough that I can do it before I leave for work and not be “that guy” who wakes up the neighborhood. On medium, it works great blowing off the rocks in my main yard. It’s so powerful on medium that (like my other blowers) I need to be careful not to blow the rocks around. On high…well, I hardly ever go there because it’s so strong, but I think that you’ll be pleased. I was pretty stunned at the air flow on high, and it forced my arm back the first time because I wasn’t ready for it.

Run times are very impressive using my 2A battery. I haven’t actually timed myself, but I’ve blown off my yard twice on weekends so far and blown off my concrete daily. I always try to keep my blowing under an hour on weekends because, again, I don’t want to be “that” guy. I probably used it for about twenty minutes at a time switching between medium and low, and my battery still lit up two out of the three indicator lights. I certainly might have used it longer, but I’m trying not to exaggerate.

The ease of use is simply amazing compared to my corded models. Before work, I can just grab it, push the on button, walk out to spend about a minute blowing off the driveway and sidewalk, turn it off, and set it back down in my garage. Done. The fact that it’s faster to use this than to grab my broom is fantastic to me.

This is my fifth GreenWorks product (and I’m overall pretty happy with them), and I already had a 40V and 80V batteries and chargers, so this was a good deal for me because I didn’t have to pay for the battery and charger. I almost bought the one with the battery anyway because I thought that I’d need more run time and would want a spare battery, but I haven’t come close to needing another one.

If you already have one of their 80V batteries, even the 2A one, I suggest getting this and not another battery to start to check if you’d want any more run time than you already get. Plus, if you already have one of those batteries, you know that they charge up pretty fast.

Overall, I highly (HIGHLY) recommend this blower. One of my best lawn care purchases ever..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. How does this blower compare to the Toro 51609, which costs one fourth as much? Toro has tons of great reviews, more power, and a metal mulch blade.

I have both. Toro 51609 is more powerful and has a metal mulch blade like you said. The only one reason I got G-MAX DigiPro is because it’s cordless.

2. What is the process from changing the device from blowing to vacuum? Do you only need to change attachments or is there more involved?

To use as a blower, you have the blower tube installed and the intake gate closed. To use as a vacuum, you put the bag on in place of the blower tube and install the mulch tubes in place of the intake gate. So no, nothing more is needed.

3. Bought original 40V Greenworks a couple years ago. Are these new 40V G-MAX batteries compatible with original and visa-versa for DigiPro machines?

No, the connections and chargers are different for the 2 systems. Needless to say the owners of earlier 40v batteries are not happy but the new g-max batteries store more power which is a step in the right direction

4. does it vacuum and mulch wet leaves

Mine sucked up wet leaves no problem. We even had an early snow and when I sucked a pile of leaves I had snow in the bag. No problem at all!

William J. Roberts says: “This unit is more powerful than expected and much easier to use than my old gas powered one due to lighter weight. I’m comparing this item with a TroyBilt 205 MPH 2 cycle gas powered blower/vac purchased in 2004. After 14 seasons, the TroyBilt gave up the ghost while I was using it to blow debris off our driveway. What to do? Recently I began converting from gas power tools to electric/rechargeable. About 3 years ago, bought a Greenworks electric chain saw with 2 amp hour battery. It was sufficient for my needs. I then bought a Greenworks light duty line

I then bought a Greenworks light duty line trimmer sans battery and used the battery from the chain saw. That also was light weight and sufficiently powerful to do light trimming. We have a .81 acre lot so most of the lawn cutting is done with a garden tractor. Still, I need a push mower to mow around beds and in tight spots. My gas powered mower died. I ended up with an EGO self propelled mower with 7.5 amp 56 volt battery from Home Depot for $499… great price. Now back to the blower vac.

I considered a very light duty Greenworks blower (only) for $30 that could use my 2 amp hour battery but that model was either unavailable or had spotty reviews. The above Greenworks unit had consistently good reviews on multiple sites, even though as a vacuum, it may not be the best. Ordered it from Amazon and had it in 2 days. Assembly was easy. The controls take some getting used to or experimentation as they are not accurately described in the manual. Play with it! You can figure it out! As a generic blower, this unit has more power than I expected. Although only rated at 185 MPH, it seems to have more power than the 205 MPH TroyBilt. Perhaps the impeller on the TroyBilt had deteriorated? Anyway, it works real good for blowing away grass clippings, leaves, etc. The push button start is great compared to a pull start. The lighter weight makes it easier to operate. I have run it for quite some time on the highest setting and have not had to recharge the battery thus far

I tried the unit as a vac. It is easier to assemble / reconfigure than the TroyBilt. Physically and not unlike the TroyBilt, using it as a vac is a bit awkward. However, it seemed to work pretty well. There is a crevice outside our family room that attracts and holds onto leaves This unit got them out very quickly. Not sure it’s going to pick up or mulch big piles of leaves in the Fall, not did I expect it to.

UPDATE – Works well as a vacuum! I was really surprised. Over the summer, we had a lot of professional gardening work done including installation of 15 yards of mulch. Therefore, I really wanted to remove most of the leaves and debris this Fall. I had read that this machine didn’t work well as a vac but I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. First, it was a lot lighter and therefore easier to use for long periods of time. Second, I found the vacuuming and mulching to be very effective. It was easy to set the speed to a point where it picked up the leaves and left the mulch in place. The leaves and sticks were mulched down to where I didn’t fill up as many bags or waste cans as before. I did not have any issues with the machine clogging…. and I really force fed it a lot of leaves in tight places. Running on medium speed, perhaps dialed back a bit, it ran long enough for me to do most of our 2000 sq. foot ranch with beds all around it.

All things considered, I am satisfied with this item and would recommend it to anyone, as long as it’s not expected to do heavy duty mulching..

T. Rayner says: “I’m feeling this blower/sweeper the more I use it. I’m only using it to blow grass and dirt off of hard surfaces and it does the job well for that. I also use it dry off the cars after washing them. It so nice to not have cords anymore. (Also, it seems cheaper to buy this tool with the 4AH battery versus the battery alone and I have other GW tools that can use the battery). I’m happy with my purchase.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. The item is made in china. quality control is poor some batteries don’t recharge fully on arrival to usa

Hello Vuong,The batteries are not shipped fully charged. To charge the battery please ensure you have fully connected the battery into the charger, when the battery is connected into the charger you should hear an audible click noise, additionally the battery should not be able to slide out of the charger without releasing the lock latch. Please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 for further assistance on your charger issue.

2. Works ok. it is real easy to put battery in but, it is real hard to take off blower to charge. any thoughts?

I don’t have any issues taking the battery off. I ass-u-me your pressing the release button.if so and its hard to remove maybe your release is messed up.

3. How does this product perform at loosening plus blowing out wet and dry leaves in a garden bed?

It is not real powerful, so it would be frustrating to use on wet leaves. Fine as a broom for dry materials on a smooth surface like a patio. Honestly though, i don’t think the convenience of cordless makes up for how underpowered they are compared to a corded blower.

4. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

How long does a charge last?
