There is a way to selecting the best klipsch r20b review budget and we trust this guide to place you on the right path in helping you find that which would be perfect for you.

1. Klipsch SPL-120 Powered Subwoofer 12 inches, Black

A step-up from our Reference Series subwoofers, The SPL Series have best-in-class MAX output levels making them high-performance subwoofers at affordable prices. Cerametallic woofers are exceptionally light and extremely rigid, providing remarkable low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion for higher, cleaner output using less amplifier power. The built-in, high efficiency amplifier features an analog preamp design, which maintains the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction. The class D output stage ensures MAX efficiency for MAX output, detail, and low frequency power.

Proprietary internal geometry that minimizes port Noise for clean undistorted low frequencies. The front-firing design allows for placement flexibility. The Klipsch wa-2 wireless subwoofer kit (sold separately) allows high resolution wireless connectivity for easy placement anywhere in your room and optimizes output and low frequency response. Connect up to 4 wa-2 wireless Kits to compatible Klipsch subwoofers in a single room for a completely wireless connection. Low pass Crossover and variable phase control allows you to tune the subwoofer to your Klipsch speakers and to your room, establishing the ideal level of bass.

Line level/ LFE RCA inputs ensure compatibility with home theater receivers. Both the RCA and wireless inputs can be utilized, giving you the ability to use A single subwoofer with multiple system in the same room. For example, you can use the wireless input for your home theater set up and the RCA input for your 2-channel system, without needing to switch inputs when changing between systems. Exceptional efficiency on or off.

Meets global efficiency standards – reducing energy costs for the user. Scratch resistant Ebony finish looks like real wood and covers the entire cabinet.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. what does “spun copper” mean? What does “cerametallic” mean?

It’s what the subwoofer is made out of. That’s why it’s a copper color.

2. Is this an authorized and authentic klipsch product? i wasn’t aware these spl subs were available yet?

Yes they are authorized and authentic if it says shipped and sold by amazon.com

3. Can you pair this with the klipsch 12sw?

The SPL-120 is a premium a subwoofer that has more power. They would not match, but you could run them in the same system.

4. Is an LFE cable included?

A standard power cable is included but no other cables. I ordered a MediaBridge shielded coax cable with RCA plug connectors when I ordered the sub.

What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Irv Haas says: “If you want great bass in your home theater, look no further than the Klipsch SPL-120. This sub pounds out the bass. In fact, I had to turn down the volume level on some discs to avoid shaking the entire room. Even though this sub has similar specs compared to the previous model’s 12” woofer, the SPL-120 has a Class D output stage that makes this sub truly stand out. Although the price may look overly priced, this subwoofer really gives you your money’s worth.

With integrated whole-house audio systems becoming more popular than ever, Klipsch designed the CDT-3650-C II to meet the market’s demand for a high-performance in-ceiling loudspeaker that easily challenges the inherent limitations of fixed locations.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. What backing do you recommend if installed under attic ? will some simple mdf board placed on top do the job?

I built mine during construction and yes, MDF works well. I built a box that went from rafter to rafter out of inexpensive oak plywood and it has worked very well.
Like I’ve told others, don’t merely place it under insulation as I don’t believe it provides an adequate speaker box. Essentially your attic becomes the box in that scenario.

2. Is this a Dolby Atmos speaker ?

It was not designed as a Dolby Atmos speaker, but it would work fine as a height speaker in a Dolby Atmos system, especially when used with other Klipsch Reference Premier speakers.

3. How important is the aiming tweeter in an atmos setup? i ordered the klipsch r-2650-c speakers but the tweeters don’t pivot.

Dolby recommends a speaker with ability to aim and if you feel you need that have a look at a CDT-3650-C II. It would depend on where they are mounted in relation to the listening or seating area. If they are just above or above and not too far from the listening area you may be ok with them aiming straight down.

4. I need help in what inceiling speaker should i use for my rear and dolby atmos sound. i already have rb 61ii for my main,

Reach out to Klipsch, who know exactly which speakers from their lines should be paired for best matched sound.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Karl says: “Incredibly full / rich sound for an in-wall speaker. I replaced two older speakers in the soffit of a house we bought with these. Huge improvement, and the fact that the tweeters can be aimed really improved the spacial positioning in the room. Connecting to an AV receiver, we use these for the rear surround speakers for video sources, as well as for music sources. As surround speakers, they’re a bit too high quality as rear surround doesn’t really receive much in the way of high quality audio signals. (Exception: Stranger Things, which has the most awesome 5.1 sound mixing I’ve
ever heard and often has rich music coming from the rear surrounds.).

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Will these fit between a 10″ floor joist? Basically need to know the maximum diameter between the dog ears. Thanks!

The cut out diameter is 8.3″. If these joists are 10″ on center you only have 8 1/2″ spacing inside to inside. So the dog ears won’t have any thing to grab.

2. Klipsch corp told me you are not an authorized klipsch dealer. do you back the factory warranty?

From the Klipsch website:A note about sellers on Amazon.com: Many resellers who sell through Amazon.com are not authorized dealers of Klipsch products. When purchasing Klipsch products on Amazon.com, it is important to note where the product is being “shipped from and sold by,” which is stated clearly in the header for each product. Please locate the seller’s name on our Authorized Online Dealer List or contact us directly at 1-800-Klipsch before you purchase.

3. would these be good for an Atmos setup?

Absolutely. Use two in my own set up.

4. The picture does not show the speaker with grilles, does it include the white grilles?

Yes the grilles are included.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. What kind of cable do i need to make this work with klipsch the sixes speakers?

If this speaker follows the usual Klipsch subwoofer convention, you just need a single cable with RCA/phono/coaxial plugs at both ends. You have to plug it into the jack labeled “L/LFE”. If you are sending separate left and right subwoofer signals, then this jack is for the left signal. If you just have one signal, then it treats it as a single LFE signal; that is, like the “.1” part of 5.1 or 7.1 audio. If the jack is simply labeled “L”, then you might need an RCA jack to two RCA plugs Y adapter. For a definitive answer, look in the manual, but I suspect that it will handle a common subwoofer signal on the left jack like previous Klipsch subwoofers.

2. is this product working from 220 voltage?

It will work.
It’s 100-240V

3. Is it support voltage 100~240V?

Yes

4. Dose it work at 220 volt?

It will work.
It’s 100-240V
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Bean Dip says: “All I can say is WOW! I have had a dead Definitive Technology subwoofers in my living room for the last 2 years because my boyfriend was too lazy/cheap to swap it out. I finally took matters into my own hands. Never again will I live in a world without bass. I actually feel like watching movies again! This 12 inch Klipsch subwoofer makes a world of difference in my home theater system. Klipsch was recommended to me by my neighbor. I sought out one of the cheaper ones since I am no high end audio type person. He was right.
Wasn’t too expensive but sounds like a heard of elephants running through the room (that’s a good thing). I’ll consider this brand if I ever need to replace another speaker..

9. Klipsch R-5502-W II In-Wall Speaker – White (Each)

  • Dual 5.25” Cerametallic cone woofers

  • Easily mounts horizontally or vertically
  • Horn-loaded technology increases acoustic output while significantly reducing distortion
Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Want to use these for center-channel, but the cutout size is 16.5″. Will it fit between 16″ spaced studs? Or do I have to mount these vertically?

I mounted them (vertically) — almost 4 years ago and don’t recall if they would fit horizontally or not. (They are WONDERFUL speakers — I have four of them in a 4.1 + Subwoof configuration)

2. Does the tweeter pivot in all directions (u,d,l,r) or just l,r ?

If the speaker is mounted horizontally the horn pivots up and down.
If the speaker is mounted vertically the horn pivots right and left.

3. Are the grills paintable?

Jeff.
They are paintable. I would dab a light application as to not totally block the holes in the grille.
Eric C

4. How do these speakers sound compared to Polk Audio in wall speakers?

All depends on your preference Klipsch sounds much better for movies I Setup Klipsch for my Media Room and I used Polk Audio for my outdoor Patio for music and audio from sporting events like Football or Basketball game while working in the backyard Hope it helps
Bottom line For Movies – Klipsch and For Music Polk Audio

  • Compatible with the Klipsch IK-650-C Install Kit
Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Should this speaker be setup as a large or small for a 5.1 system?

Large and small designations are a bit outdated. Really what the receiver means is “do you want a sub to cover the low end, or are these capable of full range?” If you have a sub connected, you should ALWAYS label speakers as “small” regardless of their physical size.

2. will this work well with Klipsch Quintet IV what some thing similar for ceiling speakers try do dolby atmos

I have no idea if these speakers will perform your task since you didn’t say whether you were using an Atmos-capable amp or not.

3. What does the *EOL* stand for?

End Of Life, AKA discontinued, although I am not sure why this is labeled as such

4. Can you paint the grills

I haven’t painted them but Klipsch says they can be.

With integrated whole-house audio systems becoming more popular than ever, Klipsch designed the CDT-3800-C II to meet the market’s demand for a high-performance in-ceiling loudspeaker that easily challenges the inherent limitations of fixed locations.

  • Controlled Dispersion Technology directs high and midbass frequencies to the main listening area
  • Treble attenuation switch
  • Elegant new, low-profile SlimTrim magnetic grille
Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. can we install this on ceiling?

These are to be installed in ceiling or in the wall.

2. what color is this? white or black?

The speaker is black. The cover screen is white which can be painted any color.

3. If these were added to a Klipsch 5.1 set up, with 7.2 ready receiver would it be Atmos capable?

ATMOS is totally reliant upon your a/v receiver being ATMOS capable. Whatever speakers you use is irrelevant. The placement is what is important.

4. Can these speakers be set to reproduce sounds on THX mode?

Of course not.
THX is not a “mode” THX is a certification. This speakers are not THX certified and even if they where, to achieve THX you have to have your entire equipment such as speakers, power amps, subwoofers and even your cables (all your cables) THX certified. So, as you can see it is not easy to get authentic THX, BUUUT in reality you dont have to, you can get the same or much better sound quality without THX devices.
If you really want to enjoy THX you can do what i do, go to a certified theater 🙂

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Would these be good for near field studio monitors or not neutral enough?

As far as studio monitors, you are correct, they are not completely neutral. They are very efficent speakers however and far exceed the power ratings Klipsch specifies. Their ideal situation is really for home theather rear or side channel surround sound as effects channels. They also make a very powerful, high-fi bookshelf companion for a mini system.I am currently using them in a 7.2 Atoms setup and they knock it out of the park. If you are truely looking for 1-1 studio monitors, Yahmaha is they way to go but have your checkbook ready. 😉

2. What’s the battery for?

I believe that’s an error in the description. These are passive, wired speakers. I have a pairthey’re excellent speakers for the price.

3. Are they “power speakers?” As in, could they be connected to a record player without a reciever?

The R-14M is a passive speaker that requires a receiver or amp to power it.

4. Is this offer for single or pair speakers?

  • Fills medium-sized rooms with outstanding sound reproduction
  • Equally impressive with music and movies
  • Highly efficient design produces more output using less energy
  • Accurate, non-fatiguing sound provides hours of listening pleasure
Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Can these be used as rear speakers with courus 2’s in the front or will they get overwhelmed? I am using a Denon avr x 4100w. Is 125w too much power

i think it depends on your receiver. your receiver can calibrate with front and rear speaker.

2. Are these front firing or rear firing speakers?

Front firing. There is no rear port on these speakers. In my case, they are placed in corners and there are no sound issues (that I can hear) related to their front firing design.

3. Is the bass good enough on the rb 61s to use for 2 channel stereo with no subwoifer?

I am using these speakers for two channel stereo and they are outstanding, as such. But the bottom end cuts off at 45 Hz. The RB61 II’s are a big, large size bookself speaker, which I feel are really between a bookself and floor standing speaker and this gives an excellentvoice. A humans hearing is 20 to 20,000 Hz, so a suboofer with todays speakers, including the RB61 II,improves and fills in the lower end of the sound spectrum, but you may be satisfied with what they deliver alone, because they are an excellent large speaker.

4. Rubber or foam surround on the 6.5?

No, the only rubber is for the bottom of speakers as feet to keep it from scratching. The cover is magnetic. Great rear or small to medium room speakers.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Some Dude says: “Since 1991, have owned several brands of speakers: Definitive Technology, Infinity, NHT, Monitor Audio, and now Klipsch. It nearly killed me to let the Def Techs go, but these Klipsch RB-61ii Reference Series speakers go a long way in making up for it. As background, am listening to ALAC files ripped from CD, run through an AudioQuest Dragonfly Red DAC, and then into a modest SET/Class A tube amp that is feeding the RBs. The amp is a 2.0 system, so no subwoofer is involved. With the cables included, and taxes excluded, all of these audio elements sum up to $900.

The amp is a 2.0 system, so no subwoofer is involved. With the cables included, and taxes excluded, all of these audio elements sum up to $900. Frankly, I love this modest system just as much as my old $8000 system!

Am endlessly amazed at how lively, airy, silky smooth, crystal clear, and invigorating the RBs sound. Whether playing jazz, opera, techno, trance, rock, country, R&B, new age, classical, or any other type of music (obviously, I appreciate a diverse range of music) through these speakers, am forever thrilled with how lush and real the musical instruments and voices sound! For better or for worse, this awesome little system also makes it easy to hear the restricted dynamic range of poor recordings while enabling excellent recordings to sound so amazing that it will have you simmering in delight!

Midrange and treble are in perfect proportion to one another, with not even a hint of brightness. Am also a bass head, and was originally planning on introducing a sub into this setup, but am so satisfied with the deep and rich (but not boomy) bass that the RB fluidly creates that a sub would add little value.

Understood that the way a speaker sounds is dependent on the audio elements feeding it, and your system will differ from mine, but I’m EXTREMELY pleased with the RB-61ii. Without spending thousands more, am not sure how you could own a more satisfying speaker. The RB-61ii is a true winner!.

Klipsch operates with a philosophy that demands accuracy in every aspect of sound reproduction, which–in the case of the ProMedia 2.1–has resulted in THX Certification.

THX is an exclusive set of standards established by the world-renowned film production company, Lucasfilm Ltd., and products undergo rigorous quality and performance tests in order to receive this certification. Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. compared to logitech z623? better or worst

I bought a Logitech Z-2300 system 5 years ago. It’s the predecessor to the Z623.More recently I bought a smaller Logitech Z313.I’ve gotten a lot of use and enjoyment from them, especially from the larger system which was my main sound system for audio and video. Unfortunately, they both have a slight transformer buzz even when powered off. This might be due to poorly conditioned AC power in my area.I finally put them on switched outlets so I could get rid of the buzz when I wasn’t using them. Most important though is the Klipsch ProMedia *sounds* better. Not only is it silent when there is no input, the sound that does come out is obviously better.I think this is due to a flatter mid-range. I like the Logitech Z-2300 but it always felt like something was missing. When I plugged in the ProMedia system I could instantly hear the difference and I have no interest in going back. What was missing had been found. It was like going to a higher resolution display. Once you do that, you never want to go back to fewer pixels.

2. what inputs does this accept. Coaxial? analog RCA, or Optical?

just rca from your computer audio out jack. cheers

3. im in college, how is the bass i want something that kicks and maybe even shakes the desk how do these compare to the logitech z623

more bass than you will need, excellent sound as w/all klipsch higher end speakers, and these are THX certified, which means more than most people realize, people complain about the volume and bass controls, you do not need to use them-set it where you want and then use your computer to control volume, and whatever sound platform you have use that to fine tune them. They do also require a burn in period as all speakers do,they just sound better and better.I am going on 3 years of problem free awesome sound. And with them being THX certified you will hear things you wont from non certified speakers-they do not just give that rating to anything,a lot of testing and research earns them that title.
Btw i am disabled and spend a lot of time on my back and these speakers play for a minimum of 12 hrs a day,if not more,i have no need or desire to try a different set of speakers. My home theater is also all Klipsch, their RP series, which are also top notch,Klipsch does not disappoint.

4. Do these speakers have a grille over them, or are they just open? From the pic it appears they are exposed.

Yes, there is a cloth-like frame over them. You can see an image here: http://www.bizrate.com/computer-speakers/7386580.html
