Best microfleur flower press – Buying Guide And Recommendation

This top 10 best microfleur flower press review starts by looking at the different technologies and then after lists the best products.

1. Floral Preservation Kit – DIY Flower Preserving Kit for Scrapbooking, Photo

Flowers can evoke powerful memories and emotions. Carnations and senior prom. Red roses from your first love. White gardenias when you married your soulmate. Tulips on Mother’s Day. Lilies at the passing of a loved one. It was the loss of her great-grandmother that prompted Teresa Rinne to establish The Floral Preservation Co., a method, and new tradition for preserving floral memories. During her childhood, the company founder and CEO had discovered dozens of dried flowers tucked away in the family Bible, while visiting her great-grandmother in Kentucky.

As the older woman helped return the flowers to their tome, she explained that each dried flower had a special memory attached to it. When she passed, she took those memories with her. Through trial and error, Teresa developed an at-home process for preserving fresh flowers—and their memories. The quick and easy process, which involves microwaving the flowers, then sealing them with a spray, preserves the flowers and retains far more of their vibrant colors than pressing them in a book.

The DIY Flower Drying Kit includes microwave directions, quick dry papers, reusable drying boards, holding clips, wrapping cord, a special finishing spray, and shaping tweezers. The quick and easy process, which involves microwaving the flowers, then sealing them with a spray, preserves the flowers and retains far more of their vibrant colors than pressing them in a book.

  • The quick and easy process, which involves microwaving the flowers between special drying boards, then sealing them with a special finishing spray, preserves flowers and memories forever.

1. Microfleur Max Microwave Flower Press and Max Refill Pack

The Microfleur Max Microwave Flower Press comes with all you need to press flowers. Having an extra refill is great for just having a spare on hand. It never hurts to have a spare refill, as they get hot with repeated use, so you can switch refills and keep pressing while the other one cools. Switching out refills also lets you press thicker flowers that may require resting between bursts in the microwave.

So while one rests, you can use the other to keep pressing. The Microfleur Microwave Flower Press presses flowers. Fast. Leaving you with beautiful, bold colors, and unlimited creative possibilities. The Max 9″ (23 cm) Microfleur microwave flower press is Microfleur’s most wanted press with 81 square inches of pressing space. Flowers, foliage and plants are quickly pressed between two cotton liners, two thick wool pads and two vented platens, all of which are held together by 4 clips.

Pressing is done in very short intervals spaced with short resting periods. Flowers can be used the same day and color retention is exceptional, compared with traditional pressing methods. The pressed flowers can then be used for greeting cards, scrapbooking, wedding and other invitations, menus, bookmarks or applied to candles and soap, art and decoupage projects. It is the ultimate flower press and is commonly used by oshibana and other artists, as well as by botanists.

Microfleur presses are not recommended for children under 12, without adult supervision. The 9″ (23 cm) Max refill pack consists of two wool pads and two cotton liners.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. ?is it possible to press a thick flower like rananculus? do i have to change the pad after each use ? also is the plastic toxic if put in microwave

It is possible to press thick flowers, but will take some practice. It is also recommended to cut the flowers before pressing them so they are not so thick. The pads are reusable and do not need to be changed after each use. However, if they have bits of flower petals, etc stuck to them, it is recommended to wash or remove the bits first so they do not overdraw and burn. The plastic is safe for the microwave and made specifically for microwave use.

2. Going out of the area to a wedding; can you use this for a few days to ‘store’ the (wedding) flowers; then microwave it when you get home?

Absolutely no. Your flowers will be ruined. Store the flowers in a bag with maybe a damp paper towel. Don’t know exactly what flowers you are storing. You might need a big bag. If you need a large bag, you might even try like a turkey cooking bag to store them in the refrig. without smashing them. Do not cook them in the bag, for storage only in the cooler or refrig. whatever you are using until you gethome. I am assuming that you have not used the microfleur before. You might want to experiment with your yard flowers. Sometimes the flowers change color when microwaved or don’t microwave well. Sometimes they are too thick and you have to cut them or do petals and put them back together. Good luck.

3. Does it come with paper?

It doesn’t come with paper. It comes with a very thick cloth which absorbs the expelled moisture from the flowers. It is gentle and the flowers come out very nice. I was actually just looking at some flowers I pressed 2 years ago and they still look great. If you don’t want to do the microwaved pressing and you just want to do regular wax-paper pressing, don’t buy this product. But I have done both types and I recommend this product!

4. If you don’t have a microwave could you use an oven?

No no no! Never put plastic in an oven. It could release chemicals into the air. I have used both methods and found that the old boards with paper between is best. Just have to be patient and let it dry naturally.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

WitchyWyatt says: “I absolutely love this thing! So glad I went ahead and got the 9inch instead of the smaller one. I am able to press just about any type of flower you can think of, even roses are a piece of cake! I’ve been buying bouquets during every trip to the supermarket because I love trying the different kinds of flowers. My diy ideas and crafts have been taken to a whole new level. The flowers retain vibrant colors and the end results are beautiful as long as you follow the directions. I’m kicking myself for not buying this sooner. I honestly
hesitated because of the price, but now that I’ve made the commitment I’m realizing it’s worth so much more! Highly recommend!.

Dear:
Please refer to USER MANUAL :
3.10., The pressed flower may stick to the liner. Please gently stretch the liner at multiple angles,

Best Regards
Rtreehouse

2. My fabric liner burned, can I use any fabric to replace the liner?

To me the fabric seems very similar to the piece of fabric you get to clean your eyeglasses. I’d try that first. If it doesn’t work, then take the burned piece to a fabric store and ask for a similar fabric.

3. Where/how can you get replacement fabril liners? I can’t seem to find them anywhere.

try eye glass cleaning cloths.

4. How well does work for a 3 day old rose?

Well. It does better with flowers that arent as thick. The more bud-like it is, the harder it is to get it flat with a nice shape. I did do some magnolia blossoms and dissembled the flower, dried it, and then reassembled afterwards. Thats always An option.

Here’s how it works… you layer it up the way the directions tell you, wrap the bands around it and stick in the microwave. You take it out every 20 seconds, change the black plates and bands (they give you two sets of each) and stick it back in for another 20 seconds. You do that until the black plates show no moisture or condensation on them. For me, that’s about 4 or 5 rounds of 20 seconds each. Viola! dried “pressed” flowers in three minutes. Love it..
