Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Does it come with the two removable extension tubes for taller boots ?

Yes,it comes with 2 removable boot extension tubes. I put tall Muck work boots on them and they fit perfectly. This is a really good boot and glove dryer.

2. Does it have modes so I can dry on pair of boots at a time? Or will it still blow through all four dryers?

It’s just on or off. I have used it to dry gloves on one side and boots on the other.

3. Hi, can you dry rubber deck boots?

I am unsure.
I would recommend you scroll through the description & features of this unit.

4. Can this be used in Japan where the voltage is 100 volts?

No. You would need a step-down converter that goes from 120-volt to 100-volt.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

zoey.fritz says: “I had been toying with the idea of this purchase for about 2 years now. Though it’s not overly expensive, I kind of felt like it was an unnecessary luxury. So I’ve spent years drying my kids boots the old fashioned ways – clothes dryer and heat vents. Listening to the boots clunk around in the dryer is unbearable, and the heat vents really only work if you have a lot of time for the boots to dry before you need them again. I purchased a new dryer a few years ago and was so excited to get the shoe rack
with it, only to realize that it does not dry winter boots. I finally caved in and made this purchase. Really glad that I did, and I have used it every day since. It doesn’t get so hot that you worry about leaving it unattended, and it dries everything perfectly. My kids boots were really starting to smell like a mixture of mold and stinky feet because they were always damp. Now they dry completely and don’t stink anymore. I was a little worried that the airflow would cause the scent to get blown into the air and that I’d be surrounded by the smell of moldy, stinky feet (like how my dryer would stink like really hot rubber and wet, moldy boots), but it doesn’t. Would totally recommend!.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Can you dry four boots at once? I only see 2 extent ions in the pictures.

Yes you can dry four boots at once as the airflow is split evenly between all four vents, however you will need to purchase a 2nd set of boot extensions from the Maxxdry website, or I would purchase the “Rider” set which includes 4 boot extensions as well as helmet extensions. Here is the link on amazon to the “Rider” package: http://www.amazon.com/MaxxDry-MX00275-Rider-Dryer-Package/dp/B005HNMWMO/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1382324265&sr=8-9&keywords=maxxdry+boot

2. Difference between maxxdry boot xl and maxxdry boot heavy duty?

XL description says motor had ball bearings and is rated for 80,000 hours! That is not mentioned in the description for the heavy duty.

3. Will Ski boots fit on it?

Yes, the extension will permit boots to fit onto the rear two stems. There are also two shorter stems in the front for shoes or gloves.

4. length of boot sleeves?

Boot sleeve is around 16 inches. Husband wears mid calf boots and they fit well. The glove sleeve is about 7.5 inches.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I waited a few months after purchasing this to see how it held up. After reading several reviews and looking at many dryers I decided to get this one because of the features.(dry 4 items at once, heat, and a timer) I work as a city carrier for the USPS and in spring and fall we get a ton of rain. Every night I was tossing wet shoes or boots in the dryer and listening to that awful KATHUNK KATHUNK KATHUNK for hours on end. I tried the insert for the dryer door where you hang your shoes in there on the door and turn on the dryer…not bad if you want to run your dryer for 2 hours just to half dry some shoes. What a waste of time and money. This thing however is awesome. I come in, put my shoes or boots on there, set the timer for 1 hour and walk away. You can barely even hear it running. I have put soaked shoes on there and in one hour they were bone dry at a fraction of the cost of running my dryer. Dried a pair of boots and a pair of shoes at the same time in the same amount of time too. All around its been awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone that frequently has wet shoes and/or gloves. BONUS..pop your shoes on there on cold winter mornings right before you leave and you have warm feet for a bit.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments. I will respond. If you found my review helpful, let me know. Lets keep making better buying decisions together. Thank you and as always Be Safe & Happy Shopping!!.

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Has anyone ever used on running shoes? My guess is it would work great, especially on the smell

I bought this dryer specifically for my running shoes. I sweat a lot, especially when running in the hot summer months. My shoes are soaked by the time I’m done running. I slip my shoes on two posts and then wrap my heart rate strap around the 3rd post and I slip my phone arm band into the last post. 45 minutes of running or 30 with heat and it’s all dry again. Worth it’s weight in gold.

2. I can’t decide between this and Maxxdry. Does anyone know where they are made? That may be my determining factor.

Hello, I live a about 15 miles from this place. The family got tired of the wet boots in these North Idaho winters. The home is in St. Maries, Idaho, right outside of the town of CoeurDLene, Idaho. It is a tiny town filled with down to earth people. I have owned 2 Peet dryers. Only Two? That is because they never quit working! I am now ordering my 3rd one in 34 years. They are exceptional.

3. It says you can run the fan only, or with heat. Can you do the inverse, run with heat convection only, or does the fan have to run?

“fan has to run”

4. How well does this do gloves/hats? Seems suited for boots. Don’t want to buy that weird glove attachment. Also looking at Maxx Dry XL.

It works great on big goalie gloves so I think it would work well on ski gloves too. I don’t think it would do much for knit gloves or hats though. Hope that helps!
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

fs077 says: “I have no idea why I waited so long to buy this unit. I see a lot of reviews saying their riginal is so much better. Well let me tell you I put this puppy to use on a hunting trip and right out of the box this thing was drying absolutely saturated boots in seemingly no time but I know was a couple hours because I set it on Max time & checked them after a couple hours and they were dry which was a big surprise. With 5 of us in the hunting party that thing got a serious
workout because when you’re chasing wild boar around lakes and rivers there’s a good chance you’re gonna get wet. My waders were only wet from sweat but everybody else’s boots were saturated. Everyone there will probably be ordering because they were so impressed. So for what it’s worth I am one happy camper and I bought it because my buddy nearby swears by his..

No, but it runs a very low heat.

3. I purchased this item on December 15th and they have stopped working. How do I retunr them?

4. Walking the Camino in Spain…can these be used internationally with an adapter and converter

The product photos show the power adapter. The label shows “Input: 100-240v”. This means it will work with most mains power globally. You’d just need an adapter from the North American “blade-style” prongs to the European “pin-style” prongs.
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Erik Stensland says: “I don’t write reviews here on Amazon as I have too much else on my plate, but I really wanted to for this product. I generally ski 3-5 times a week either early morning before work or as part of my job as a landscape photographer. Generally after an hour or two in my ski boots they are soaking wet from both snow and sweat. Every day I would pull the liners out of my boots and leave them for hours in front of the fireplace to try and dry them out. It took a long time and wasn’t very efficient.
My wife wasn’t thrilled with boots in the living room every day either. For the last few weeks I’ve simply put these in my boots at night and by morning they are dry and toasty warm. It is wonderful! At first I didn’t think they were working as they are so quiet and don’t put out a great deal of heat or air, but they do the job perfectly without me worrying about wasting a lot of electricity or fear of fire danger. The other great thing is that they plug into my car lighter so my boots are toasty warm when I get to the mountain even if the car itself is icy cold inside. I can also start drying the boots on my drive home. These days I just keep these warmers in my ski boots except when I’m skiing. I don’t know how long they will last, but they seem well made. Of all the purchases I’ve made these last months, this is the one I most appreciate..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. I would like to know which is the voltage needed for it to work.. is it 110V or 220V? Thank you!

110VI personally use it on North American Domestic circuits (110-120V AC), and if that is your application it will work fine. It came with a polarized NEMA 1-15 (2-prong) plug / connector. I have never tried it on a 220V circuit. To the best of my knowledge it is a directly driven AC device. There is no “power block” connected in line like on DC adapters (eg computer / cell phone /small electronic chargers). As such, I don’t think it would work on 220V circuits. But I could be wrong.a non-polarized NEMA 1-15 looks like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:A_plug.jpgThis device uses the polarized version of the NEMA 1-15 though (1 of the prongs is wider than the other)Hope that Helps!

2. Has anyone used these on gloves? Specifically I’ll looking at using them with Boxing gloves.

The product info says specifically not for gloves. I expect that the problem is that they over heat in the confines of the glove. I would go with the dry guy glove dryer. Will work much faster too but not portable

3. does this product handle 110-220 volts?

Never tried anything but 110, so I can’t say for sure. But I wouldn’t hook it to anything more than 110 (standard wall outlet). Doubt the circuits in that little component could handle 220.

4. How long are they? Will they fit in a women’s size 5 ski boot?

They will fit in a size 5 boot, no problem
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

SB-Pete says: “Well, these boot dryers are a simple device – essentially little heaters, but they get the job done. – They are small enough to jam in you spare boots or shoes and travel with (including the power cord). – They are silent in operation. Of course this also means no fan is involved. A fan would make them dry boots faster, but would make noise [shrug]. Each side has a small red led. The led is a standard red led, not any super-bright blue or other type of led which seems so popular on devices now. This is a good thing

Each side has a small red led. The led is a standard red led, not any super-bright blue or other type of led which seems so popular on devices now. This is a good thing to me as the led indicates it is on, but is not bright enough to be annoying when the boots are drying over night next to your bed. In boots the light becomes largely invisible inside.
– They seem relatively durable. These boot dryers are not ruggedized or anything, but they feel well built. Dropping them off of a table or out of your hand onto a tile floor did not break mine. That said, I wouldn’t try torture testing them under a truck tire or any thing of that nature.
– They get warm, not hot. These are not your commercial-grade air-circulating boot dryers, they take longer than that, but they help dry out shoes and boots a lot. They make a very noticeable difference and are easy to pack, so they are winners as far as I am concerned.
Worth the ~$25? Yes..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Does this unit have an on/off switch?

Instead of an on/off switch, the unit has a timer ranging from 1 to 180 minutes. To turn it off you would just turn the switch to ‘0’.

2. What is the max height of a set of boots this will support?

DryGuy will blow the crap out of just about any boot you throw on it. Work boots, uggs, cowboy boots, other assorted tall women’s boots, and even timberland boots that some people seem to think are work boots. Bottom line is that no one wants a soggy boot

3. Can this be used on steel toed shoes or shoes with custom orthotics?

Yes to steel toe boots. Not sure about orthotic but I don’t see why not. It uses very gentle, slightly warm air circulation to dry and by morning boots are dry.

4. Is this product UL listed?

Idk. But it doesn’t work very well. Barely blows
What Real Customers Say About This Product?

Courtney Drazich says: “It has been so essential to extending the life of my shoes. It is great for drying shoes that accidentally get wet. It is also amazing at keeping shoes from getting stinky. It is literally silent and the only way I know it is working is because my shoes are slightly warm when I take them off. I like to wear my shoes for a day and then place them on the dryer. I have several pairs that are constantly rotating on the boot dryer, which is great because I work on my feet all day in the sun. Unfortunately this
leads to sweaty feet and gross shoes. The boot dryer keeps my shoes from getting smelly for months longer than without it. I have saved money on shoes because I haven’t had to throw any stinky shoes away since buying it..
