Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Will these last if I get in a fight with someone who has plasma hands/claws?

Do you also have claws? That would help. If not, do you know kung-fu? If not, are you an expert swordsman AND do you always carry your sword with you. If not, would you be able to hit them with a poisoned dart from a distance? If not, you should go to a bar and practice (without the poison). Are you a master of archery? I find distance fighting to be much more effective, particularly if you are also a master of stealth. If all else fails, buy these pants in black, take ninja lessons, and sneak up behind them with a dagger. Do you know where the kidneys are? Google tells me that is one of the most lethal places to be stabbed. In the end, I can’t guarantee that these pants will last through a fight involving plasma hands/claws, even if you do have mad skills, because I bought them for EMS, which only occasionally requires fighting (and generally not with claws).

2. Are these water proof?

They are more like water resistant not completely waterproof. I have yet to feel like they have held onto excessive water. They also dry very quickly.

3. Why aren’t sizes 10L and up on the prime wardrobe? I have had so many issues with sizes in tactical pants be nice if I could try them first

Good afternoon Sitchagum,
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately it is not something that is available on Amazon Prime at this time.

Thank you,
Erica

gonzoa says: “To all my fellow plus-sized ladies, just throw your old tactical pants in the trash and get these! Seriously. I am a size 16-18; I ordered both the size 18L and the 20R (a size up as other reviewers suggested), and I am so glad I did. The 18L were a little tight and the length was a little long (I am 5’9”– but they were still wearable with my work boots)… and by tight, I mean I had to lay down on the bed and grab the channel locks. The 20R are prefect. They are super freaking comfortable and unbelievably

The 20R are prefect. They are super freaking comfortable and unbelievably flattering. I have a mommy pouch, and all other tactical pants made me super self concious about it; in fact, I think they accentuated it. I don’t know what it is about the front panel of the pant, but it completely flattens your tummy.

I also have a healthy sized rear end and thighs. They hug and flatter every curve, instead of giving you a saggy diaper looking butt or baggy pant legs like others.
My hubby actually checked me out in work my work pants 😉

Spend the money on these; you won’t regret it. These are super comfy, stretchy pants that look amazing and give me a great range of motion at work. With that said, they would be great for police, EMTs, and etc..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. I already have several pairs of 5.11 pants. Are these sized the same as other 5.11s or do they run smaller?

I wear these all the time and have to go up 2 sizes to get a good fit.

2. Why is this cheaper on the sp website?

They aren’t really a woman’s fit, we found them locally and they fit very different

3. what size is medium

8 or a 10. These run small. My daughter is a size 4/6 everywhere else, but had to buy these in an 8.

4. I wear a size 4L, 5.11 pants model 64358, will that work for these too? Somewhat fitted ok, but not “jegging” look. (athletic build, 5’8, 132lb)

So we initially bought 4L which was typically what she wears and we exchanged for one size up.She is 5’10 and the long hit at the heel of her shoe. She is the about the same weight as you and found that the size 4 was too tight across her hips and bottom. Her waist is tiny compared to hr hips and the 4 was too snug to button.

What Real Customers Say About This Product?

RescueGiraffe says: “Just received these pants today. Up until now I’ve been wearing cheap (mens) cargo pants that I got at Walmart. While they worked for uniform purposes…I was really tired of having the baggy “men’s fit”. A lot of people I know recommended 511 brand due to durability, function, and comfort. I was told they are worth the price (which is actually better here, I have seen them for $80 in local stores). Since I just got them today, I have not had time to actually field test them yet. So far though I love the fit, they feel great, and I’m
really happy with all the different pockets/places for things. I love they are specially designed with EMS in mind and not simply a “cargo” pant.

FITTING: I had gone to the 511 site to look at correct sizing. I even took the time to actually measure my waist and hips. I’m 5’6″ and about 145lbs. I measured my waist at 26″ and my hips at 39″. (I have an hourglass shape with a small waist, but bigger hips/thigh/butt). According to the sizing chart on the 511 site I would have worn a size 4 (based on waist) and a size 10 (based on hips). I tend to wear between a size 4 and size 8 depending on brand/cut in other pants. I was going to order the size 6 (midway size of what I normally wear, and about midway point for sizes on 511 site). Then I took the time to read all the reviews on here where everyone was talking about “off” the sizing is. Most people suggested ordering 2 sizes up from what you think you need and one person suggested going with whatever size fit your hip measurement on the 511 site. For me 2 sizes up from what I was going to order (6) and the size that fit my hip measurement (39″) both happened to be size 10. So 10 it was. I ordered them and anxiously tried them on when they arrived, nervous that I would have to return them. They fit perfectly!! I probably could have gotten away with the 8…but they would have ending up being very form fitting with not much wiggle room (not good for the EMS field that requires lots of movement and bending…plus the whole “professional” looking thing. 😉 ). If I put the pants on with the waistband at my actual waist…the pants are a little big. I happen to be one of those people who wears my pants more towards my hips than my “actual waist” (as most of us younger generations do, but I mention this for some of the older women who may be looking into these) and these pants fit perfectly that way. Not so low as to where I seem like a teenager at the mall, but in a spot of comfort for me, where I feel like I’m wearing normal fitting pants instead of high-waisted ones. Room to move without the pants being “baggy” but a more feminine appearance than the men’s fit I’ve been wearing. I also tend to like my pants longer and even though I’m 5’6″ I go with “long” lengths to have pants fit at the length I desire. For a work pant however, I didn’t want a chance of them dragging the ground and/or getting caught under my boots. I ordered the regular length and its an excellent fit. While a bit higher than my everyday pants, they are perfect for EMS use. Standing up with boots on they cover my ankle and touch the top of my foot, sitting down they rise up a little above my ankle bone. Overall I’m really happy with the fit. Perfect for a professional, but comfortable, pant. Hopefully all of this information about my fit experience will help you to get the right size for yourself.

In summary: Great pair of pants. Very comfortable. Professional yet feminine fit.Lots of pockets/places to store things. Go to the 511 site, look at the sizing chart for these pants. Order based on hip size, not waist, or about 2 sizes up from what you think you need. Don’t order long unless you really are above 5’7″ or like the possibility of your pants dragging the ground..

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. Does the womans tactical patrol pants run small

So, for anyone who might be petite, looking or asking, this question; no they would not run small. I’m 5’2” 104lbs with a lean, muscular frame. I found these pants while shopping at a Ross and fell in love! I ordered these in a size 2(previous ones are a 4) and still too big for me. I was surprised to say the least. So, returned them and got them in a 0. Mind you, I’m usually a 0-2 anyways but since I read the reviews and specifically, this question, I ordered a size up and still had to return them! So just answering this for anyone who might have a similar body build/frame to mine, see a different answer. Hope this helps anyone 🙂

2. I normally wear a size 4 or 5 in jeans. Should i order size 4 or 6?

Our size 4-6 typically fits a waist measurement of 25.5″-27.5″. If you lean more towards the 27.5″ go with the bigger size.

3. What is the front rise for size 6 and 8?

The Front Rise for a size 6 is 8.25″ and for a size 8 is 8.5″.

4. What is the inseam on a size 2 ?

The Women’s UA Tactical Patrol Pants have a 32 1/4″ inseam!

I am 5’5″, vary from 135-145 lbs, muscular build (thick thighs, w/butt), 32 yrs old, mother of 1, and the size 6 fit like a glove!
To help get an idea of sizes, my measurements are approx: 25-27″W- @ natural waist NOT where pants sit. Where these pants rest I measure 32.25″. The fullest part of my hips vary from: 36-38″H. Each Thigh varies from 21-22″ @ fullest area.

The front pockets pull (poke out a little) just slightly from the tightness in the rear, but I think (like any jeans) once you break them in, that will diminish. The material is super comfortable and stretchy, yet still structured and moves with you. These pants appear to be longer than 32.5″ and more like 33.5″ comfortably covering majority of shoe, and when you sit they don’t give you high-waters. Additionally, I don’t get plumbers-crack from these when I bend over, but they are definitely low rise (just like my typical jeans).

Something cool that I discovered about these pants is that the cargo pockets on the sides: within the pockets they have an elastic band sewn in so when you put stuff in your pockets, it will stay in place! Awesome! (Not sure if this is typical of all tactical pants, these are my first pair. I am a volunteer EMT at remote arctic oilfield.) I will be ordering these in all the colors!

Color purchased was the Navy blue. Color is true (very dark, almost blk), photos below have been brightened with flash so you can see better.

The Women’s UA Tactical Patrol Pants have a 32 1/4″ inseam!

tiff22 says: “Best pants ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had read all the reviews and decided to go ONE size larger than my typical size, as everyone had suggested. For reference: I wear Rock Revival jeans sz: 27 x 33; roughly a size 4 in other women’s brands & a sz 5 in juniors brands. I am 5’5”, vary from 135-145 lbs, muscular build (thick thighs, w/butt), 32 yrs old, mother of 1, and the size 6 fit like a glove! To help get an idea of sizes, my measurements are approx: 25-27″W- @ natural waist NOT where pants sit. Where these pants rest I measure

Most Frequently Asked Question:

1. What’s the inseam length of these pants?

The inseam is 36.5 but they are not hemmed. only overlocked, so you will have to hem them to your desired length. I am 5’9″ and they are quite long.
hope that helps

2. Do these run true to size?

Yes. I found them to be perfectly sized. Light weight and comfortable.

3. I wear size 8 in regular weight women’s propper tactical pants. should i order sz 8 in these or size up?

I’d order the same size you wear in the other tactical pants because since these are lighter they seem to wear a tad looser for me.

4. What is the inseam?

They need to be hemmed.
